plasmacoll

Monte Carlo collisions of charged particles with neutral gases, for particle-in-cell codes and 0D reactor studies, on CPU or GPU.

Null-collision MCC

The method of Vahedi and Surendra (1995). Elastic and backscatter collisions, excitation, ionization, attachment, detachment and charge transfer against Maxwellian neutral gases, uniform or with a density profile.

Plain arrays, CPU or GPU

Markers are positions, velocities and weights in NumPy or CuPy arrays through cunumpy. Any particle container that has them plugs in.

Cross sections

Tables from text and LXCat files or from functions, Maxwell-molecule cross sections for benchmarks, and population-weighted mixtures of level-resolved cross sections.

0D reactor

A homogeneous reactor advanced by collisions alone, for testing cross-section sets and reaction chains before a spatial simulation.
